PF TEC Mushroom Spores

PF TEK, the simplest small scale method to grow mushrooms at home. One spore-syringe is enough for ten half pint jars of rice flour substrate, which give a total yield of about half a kilo of fresh mushrooms within six weeks. The easy to use PF TEK growing method is described in the book "Cultivation Techniques" by Rene Rikkelman (see below).

Since the US supplier was forced to stop Smart Botanics is now the only official vendor for the original PF TEC strain. Thanks to the 'Perfect Fungi Europe foundation'.

Mattias Romero Finally one with a real existing name. The genotype is named after the Mexican village Matias Romero, the place where it was collected first by the famous American doctor and mycologist Stephen Pollock. These mushrooms look very much like the PF variety, but they are smaller and tend to come up in clusters of many mushrooms. Since the most potent mushrooms are usually the smallest, this is a typical mushroom for the connaisseur. The spore production of this mushroom type is somewhat stronger than the PF, but not as abundant as the Golden Teacher.	16.50€	Buy
Psilocybe mexicana Psilocybe mexicana is a psychedelic mushroom, it was from this species that Dr. Albert Hofmann first isolated and named the active compounds, psilocybin and psilocin in 1958. First used by the early natives of Central America and North America over 2,000 years ago, known to the Aztecs as teonanacatl (flesh of the gods\"). Comes as a spore syringe.	16.50€	Buy
The 'Fat Stem' This is the original Psylocybe Fanaticus genotype. The Fat Stem can be recognized immediately by its fat, almost boletus-like, massive stem which is tenaciously attached to the substrate, the fast bluing of both the mycelium and the mushroom, the lack of a ring around the stem and the abundant fruiting on substrates without a casing layer. The spores germinate very fast - usually the mycelium is visible within four days after inoculation. For spore production a relative humidity of ninety five percent is necessary.	16.50€	Buy
The 'Golden Teacher' Again a mushroom with fantasy name. It refers to the somewhat yellowish stem of the fruitbodies. This mushroom has a slender stem and a golden brown cap. The gills are protected by a veil which becomes a ring around the stem after the cap opens. The mycelium is somewhat less vigorous than the PF genotype, but still appears within a week after inoculation. The spores of this genotype do ripen unusually fast. It is possible to inject a just-not opened cap with some sterile water, then soak it back into the syringe and use that for the inoculation of a new jar. Also the mushrooms are somewhat more forgiving than the fruitbodies of the PF genotype. They sporulate heavily in environments of 85 percent relative humidity and even lower. These qualities make this genotype especially suited for starting mycophiles who wish to make their own inoculants immediately.	16.50€	Buy
