This is the original Psylocybe Fanaticus genotype. The Fat Stem can be recognized immediately by its fat, almost boletus-like, massive stem which is tenaciously attached to the substrate, the fast bluing of both the mycelium and the mushroom, the lack of a ring around the stem and the abundant fruiting on substrates without a casing layer. The spores germinate very fast - usually the mycelium is visible within four days after inoculation. For spore production a relative humidity of ninety five percent is necessary.
